Neutral by Design: Why Backhaul Connect Doesn't Set Your Price
Backhaul Connect does not run trucks and does not set rates. Your price, your customer and your relationship stay yours — here is why that neutrality matters.

Backhaul Connect is built to be neutral in a specific, deliberate sense: it does not operate lorries, and it does not set the price for any match it surfaces.
What neutral actually means here
The platform's role stops at surfacing route-aligned opportunities between transporters and shippers. It does not negotiate rates, does not take a cut of the agreed price at the point of matching, and is not a party to the commercial agreement once a match is made.
Why this protects both sides
Because Backhaul Connect has no stake in which rate you agree to, there is no incentive built into the platform to push either side toward a particular price. The rate, the customer relationship and the terms of the job remain between the transporter and the shipper.
Direct contact after a match
Once a match is confirmed, the two parties are given each other's contact details and deal with each other directly — the same way they would if they had found each other through any other channel. Backhaul Connect's role in that specific transaction ends at the introduction.
Why this matters long-term
A transporter who builds a repeat relationship with a shipper found through Backhaul Connect keeps that relationship — it is not routed back through the platform for future jobs unless both sides choose to.
