PIL Launches Weekly China–Malaysia Container Service Calling Port Klang and Penang
Pacific International Lines will launch a new weekly China Singapore Malaysia container service from Tianjin on 27 October 2026, adding both Port Klang and Penang to one rotation — another scheduled China link for West Malaysia shippers and forwarders to compare.

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is adding a new weekly China Singapore Malaysia (CSM) service, creating another scheduled container connection between major Chinese ports and West Malaysia. The service is scheduled to start from Tianjin on 27 October 2026, calling Qingdao, Xiamen, Singapore, Port Klang, Penang and Nansha before returning to Tianjin.
What PIL confirmed
PIL says the CSM service will operate weekly and support both dry and reefer cargo, with access to its wider global network through transhipment connections in Singapore. The published rotation is Tianjin – Qingdao – Xiamen – Singapore – Port Klang – Penang – Nansha – Tianjin.
Why it matters in West Malaysia
The service adds both Port Klang and Penang to the same weekly rotation, giving forwarders and shippers another scheduled carrier option linking northern and central Peninsular Malaysia with major Chinese gateways. For road hauliers, any effect on container volumes or inland trucking demand will depend on customer uptake after the service begins and should not yet be assumed.
What to watch
Forwarders can compare this rotation against existing services for sailing frequency, port choice and onward Singapore connectivity once bookings open ahead of the 27 October start.
