When is MMSW unavailable?

Dagang Net announced on 20 October 2026 that Malaysia Maritime Single Window (MMSW) deployment and maintenance is scheduled for Friday, 23 October, 11:30 PM until Saturday, 24 October, 2:30 AM MYT: three hours.

What should shipping agents do?

Plan activities and transactions ahead. Dagang Net advises avoiding activities or submissions within two hours before downtime. For this window, that means avoiding submissions from 9:30 PM on Friday, 23 October; complete time-sensitive work earlier. This is an advisory, not an announced earlier system closure.

Why does this matter at Pelabuhan Klang?

An official Lembaga Pelabuhan Klang notice dated 30 May 2024 required MMSW for all vessel arrival and departure transactions from 10 June 2024. Forwarders and shippers should coordinate documentation deadlines with their shipping agents; this historical requirement is not a new 2026 policy.

What the notice does not say

The maintenance notice does not announce a container terminal closure, suspension of container handling or road-haulage restriction. It does not establish an actual cargo delay or a general Malaysian customs shutdown. Actual maintenance completion has not yet been verified.
