CMA CGM Group: USD20 Container Nomination Fee at Port Klang

CMA CGM Group has announced a Container Nomination Fee of USD20 per unit for dry hazardous export bookings from Port Klang made from 15 October 2026. The effective date is the booking date, not the sailing date. Special equipment is excluded.

Which bookings are covered?

The 8 October advisory covers all destinations and all carriers under the CMA CGM Group. The export charge code is CTR38. The fee applies across trades, tariffs, tenders and service contracts unless otherwise specified. This is a carrier-group charge, not a port-wide fee for every exporter or shipping line.

Check the booking confirmation before collection

The dedicated empty pick-up depot will be shown on the booking confirmation. The nominated container number will be provided in the booking confirmation seven days before the vessel ETA at the port of loading.

For affected Malaysian shippers and forwarders, include the applicable charge in shipment costing, confirm any contractual exception with the carrier, and coordinate empty-container collection against the stated depot and nomination details. These are practical planning checks, not a promise of container availability or collection timing.
